Nov 2009	The Deep Eddy Ave.  Renovation receives 5-Star Rating (highest) from Austin Energy Green Building Program
Oct 2009	The Apothecary Café & Wine Bar, designed by JMBA, opens for business in the Rosedale Shopping Center, Austin, TX.
Aug 2009	Joe successfully completes 48 hours of classes in “Green Building” earning his “Green Boots” certificate from Austin Energy and The Home Builders Association.  Green Boots is a six-month education series that consists of 12 modules targeting key green building topics and practices covering HVAC, Plumbing, Foundations, Building Envelopes & more.
Jan 2008	Bella Beau MedSpa, designed by JMBA, opens two new 1500 square foot stores for business in Houston’s Willowbrook Mall & The Woodlands.
June 2007	The San Antonio Masonry Contractors Association recognizes and extends genuine appreciation to Joe Bennett, AIA for participating as a judge in the 2007 SAMCA Golden Trowel Awards.  The competition honors the Masonry Contractor for his superior craftsmanship, the Architect for his unique design, and the Supplier for his outstanding products provided.
Jan 2007	Joseph M Bennett Architects’ Monroe Street condominium project receives a 5-Star rating for each of the four 2,000 sq.  ft.  condominium units located in South Austin’s SOCO district.
Oct 2006	The Good Life Magazine publishes an article written by Joe on Zero Energy Capable Homes.
Aug 2006	News 8 Austin interviews Joe as he discusses Mayor Will Wynn’s latest initiative to require all new Single-Family homes built in Austin to be “Zero Energy Capable” homes by the year 2015.
May 2006	Joseph M.Bennett Architects’ custom designed home on Treadwell Street has been selected for the 2006 Cool House Tour.  The Treadwell house was built using Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) and Spray Foam Insulation.
Jan 2006	The JMBA designed “West Mary” house is featured in the book “New Arts & Crafts Houses” by Neill Heath, published by Harper Collins publishing, a compilation of the best examples of contemporary Arts & Crafts homes.  The book is available through Harper Collins and through Amazon.
May 2005	Joseph M Bennett Architects contemporary Mexican remodel and addition design on Highland Hills Drive in Austin is featured on the Home & Garden Channel, HGTV’s Generation Renovation.  Joe & the Owner (William) walk through the house recalling the design & construction process.  Episode HGREN-110
Sept 2004	Austin Monthly features the Highland Hills Remodel and Addition in their Annual Design Issue entitled “Transforming a 70’s Style Bachelor Pad into a Contemporary Mexican Masterpiece”.
May 2004	HGTV shoots a segment of “Generation Renovation” featuring the Highland Hills Dr.  renovation designed by JMBA.
Oct 2003	Joseph M Bennett Architects and the West Mary Residence is selected to be featured on the 2003 AIA Austin Homes Tour.
