The Owners came to JMBA with an existing 1250 sq.ft. lakehouse built in the 60’s with a poorly enclosed carport addition.
They wanted to somehow transform their weekend get away into a warm contemporary weekend retreat for the whole family.
Joe developed multiple design options to remodel the existing house and another to rebuild new.
The Owner’s selected the new design.
Joe provided all of the interior design working closely with the owner’s including a unique custom designed hand railing overlooking the living room.
The house is designed with energy efficient windows maximizing views towards the lake, and exterior walls and roof deck filled with spray foam insulation for maximum energy savings and comfort.
Millwork and finishes utilized low and no-VOC stains and sealers.
